Ooops another little haul

Well I have done it again, the postman has been knocking on the door and this time he delivered a lovely little parcel from Debenhams....again! I love seeing and reading peoples hauls so I thought you might fancy a look at what I decided to get :) If Matthew asks every item was £1....don't Google these Matt or read any further haha!

First up I headed over to the virtual Illamasqua counter and picked up a cream pigment in Hollow. I first heard about this in a recent Pixiwoo video, Sam was creating a beautiful bronzed prom make up and she used this for her contour....but lets face it she could use an old tea bag and I am sure she would still look stunning! Usually i'm not one for remembering products people use in videos and you can usually find me traipsing back through 10 videos to remind myself what shade a certain red lipstick was. But this looked so amazing and Sam said how perfect it was for fair skin tones so it stuck in my mind for agessss, I headed over to Debenhams but it was out of stock agghhhhh. Luckily it was a short wait and it was there ready for the purchase. I have worn this a few times now and I am hooked, it has no orange tones and is a perfect soft brown shade for anyone struggling to find a 'pale skin friendly' bronzer. If you fancy one you can pick one up here for £17.50, they are out of stock again but check back in a few days and there should be more!

Next up I bought myself a second Mac 217 brush. The lovely Zoe from Mammafulzo was raving about these and she was telling me how you can not only use them for blending eyeshadow but for concealer too. So of course I had to get another, it was more of a necessity than a nonessential. I know I spoke about them last time but I shall have another little mini rave about them now for you :) It has taken me years to take the plunge and finally buy Mac brushes and I would recommend them day after day after day. If you were like me and had just generic brushes here and there treat yourself to a 217 and I promise you will fall in love. I bought mine when they were in the Debenhams sale for around £15ish but you can get yours here for £17.

I bought this lipstick from Boots ageeeees ago and only just found it buried deep in its box unloved. So I have rescued it, used it almost every time I have worn lipstick so thought I would pop it in this haul. It is a Loreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in Dating Coral. If you are a regular reader of beauty blogs you will no doubt have seen this being raved about over 12 months ago now but being me I have only just picked up this shade. I own 3-4 Rouge Caresse and love them, they aren't too 'pow, take that lips' so you can get away with wearing them to the park or playgroup but they give enough colour and pizazz to give a swoosh of colour to finish off your make up. Loving them at the mo! Grab yours here from Boots, but if you want a few wait till the 3 for 2 offer is on....looking good whilst saving pennies...the best way to be!

Matt will be happy to know this is the last item I bought! A Mac Paint Pot in Painterly. I have wanted to check out a few eyeshadow bases from Mac for ages so took the plunge and went for something not too OTT just in case it scared me off. When placed over the eyelid I would say it doesn't give me much colour but more evens out the lid and creates a fab base for neutral shadows. I have a few more on my list to try that give more of an eyeshadow look without all that blending, basically I want something for an all over easy look that takes no effort when we have to be out of the door in 5 mins! So far I am very impressed but I do have a few sneaky Maybelline colour tattoos on the way so I shall be comparing the two! If you fancy grabbing a paint pot you can here for £14.50.

They are looking a little darker than they appear in real life so dont panic, plus I got a little swatch happy and there is probably 3 layers of everything. Oh and I have just realised I missed the 'n' out of painterly Gahhh so please forgive me as I will re-edit but just pretend it isnt there for now.

More exciting news I finally got myself some much needed lighting today YAY. I shall be putting it to the test very soon and hopefully everything will look loads brighter and genenrally more fab.

Christmas Decs Haul

Oh dear I have done it again, the Christmas bug has bitten and I have a few more festive items to show you all....our house is going to be like a full on Grotto by the time Christmas Day comes!

For some strange reason I have the weirdest online shopping habits, I casually browse a website for ages, see things I love, check the prices, add to basket then the 'tight-wad' in me goes and closes the whole site down! Is it just me who does this? Please tell me I am not alone in 'pretend online shopping'? 

Anyway I am a regular 'fantasy' shopper on dotcomgiftshop - Amazing website! I absolutely love living in a retro world and the thought of neatly stacked vintage lunchboxes fills me with glee. *takes a moment to swoon* The great thing about Dotcomgiftshop is the prices, usually I find that anywhere that stocks anything shabby chic or of that nature they hike the prices right up because they know how popular it is. But all the lovelies on this site are extremely well priced - sometimes cheaper than Ebay! 

So what made me check out this basket? Their amazing deal of the week offer, that's what. I have been eyeing up the Christmas section for some time now and had my heart set on some lovely Christmas bunting but as usual every time it was in my basket I clicked of the page....and regretted it every time :( 

But last week they had some fab Christmas bunting....half price! Say What?! It was a sign, in my basket it went along with a few other Christmassy bits, some retro old skool paper chains to make with Finley and some fancy napkins for our Christmas dinner! Bet you cant wait to get your chops on these Dad!! And a little sneaky prezzie for Finners' stocking!

Online Window Shopping

So it's Saturday night, X-factor is on, Matt and I have had our ritual weekly takeaway and Finley is sound asleep snoozing in bed. I have been pondering all day on what to write about, there are just too many ideas whirling around in my head to focus on a review or update. So I have opted to deviate from the plan and go for a 'wish list' post. **It's now Sunday morning, I think I jinxed myself by writing the words 'Finley is sound asleep', and after 5 minuets he woke up**

If your anything like me when you browse online you will click 'add to basket' on loads of lovely items, filling your virtual basket to the brim with goodies galore then at the last minute you think 'hmmmm do I really need this?'  and click off the page leaving your basket of treats behind. *sad face*

After browsing for about an hour online at Next and then seeing the almost bank busting checkout price I bottled it and decided to post all my lovelies here instead. 

Here are a selection of what 'would have been' some of Finleys A/W12 wardrobe. 

As he is only just wearing 9-12 months clothes I think I may hold of purchasing until he gets a little fatter and is wearing 12-18 months, at least that way I know he is getting 6 months wear out of everything, especially if your spending nearly £72 wowzers! He has everything he needs until he hits 1 but I just cant stop myself swooning over beauties like these.

I'm not usually one for buying masses of brand new clothes for Finley but I thought I would share what I would get if we had the pennies sat in the bank. For now I will head back over to the much more bank friendly website Ebay to get a few baby bargains :)

Clothing Christmas Haul

I have realised that I am much more Christmas obsessed than I first thought....another post in September.

The other day whilst browsing online I had a look to see if anywhere had any festive fancy dress in stock...I cant resist a bit of fancy dress. I didn't see anything earth shattering but I did find some Christmassy gems in Next.

The first thing I spotted were these snuggly sleepsuits

The Fairisle print on the left is far more up my street, I love the retro feel and if they made this in Adult size I would have it on right this minute. The second is a red and black stripey Christmas pud number, very cute and could be worn by little girlies too. 

 Both sleepsuits are in the size 9-12 months and came in a two pack for £12

By the time these were in my basket I went Christmas mad and decided to get Finley's Christmas Day outfit.  Here we have just a standard pair of jeans as he had none in his 9-12 month box of clothes, the best T-shirt ever and an adorable Christmas Pudding hat. 

Ignore all creases - They had just been de-parceled

The T-shirt has that wonderful Retro feel with the Fairisle heart, it is long sleeved for chilly December days but not too thick you can never let your baby wear it inside. 

The jeans are just a standard pair of denim elasticated waist band jeans...great feel and very soft for easy movement. I tend not to dress Finley in jeans at home, I always find them restricting so he is often seen sporting loungewear indoors....just like his mum and dad (Comfy pants are the way forward).

Finally there are not enough cute describing words (adjectives for you English teachers out there) in the world to go into detail on this bobble hat. Who wouldn't want to put this on your baby at Christmas, that's right nobody! I bought this is size 6-12months but because of Finley's 95th centile head it is a little snug, I'm sure if will be fine and I can always adjust if needed. It has a woollen knit look and a huge oversized red pom pom on top. I'm swooning already. 

I tried to get Finley to model the hat for you all but he was too interested in scooting in his walker so excuse the blurry pic. 

I still have two other things that are due to be delivered tomorrow but they are not Christmas related - surprisingly.

The cutest Christmas bag ever

Hi Everyone, as you probably know by now I have started planning for Finley's first Christmas and browsing ever website for anything festive and cute. 

One of my most favourite websites is notonthehighstreet.com I love how you browse through thinking "oooo that would be great in the bathroom, ooooo Matthew would love that" or "this is in the kids section but I want it for me". From what I have seen it is very similar to Etsy as in there are multiple sellers that offer some pretty cool stuff. 

As I browsed through the site one item caught me eye - this lovely little canvas Christmas bag from the seller 3 Blonde Bears :) 

I love the rustic feel of this bag, how his name is all raggedy and the Jolly Father Christmas just tops it off for me. I wouldn't say this is an alternative to a stocking as its around 20cm by 26cm, but I would say it is plenty big enough for your Christmas sweets and choccys or even better to put on your table for friends and family!

I think it will look blooming well lovely nestling under our tree all stuffed to the brim with treats - I'm getting so excited. I'm thinking of getting one for Matthew and I so we all match.
